Mindful Photography

Kat Mahale

You’ll explore your Felt Sense and create art inspired by your photographic responses to a given prompt. Using your image/s you’ll explore what is being reflected for you and how these insights will open up a deeper understanding of self. Mindful Photography, practiced through the felt sense (or Feltful Photography, as Kat likes to call it), is a unique way to deepen our connection with our inner experiences. By leaning into the Felt Sense, we become more attuned to our body’s subtle signals and emotions, allowing our intuition to lead so we capture images that resonate deeply. There’ll be no need to focus on the technical side of how you’re photographing. This is all about feeling into what we’re creating. Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or just beginning, this opening practice to the workshop, offers a profound way to elevate your photography by intertwining mindfulness and the Felt Sense and you’ll be taken through movement and writing to build upon what you’ve learnt.
