Description

The TUC are developing a programme of work around how well the financial sector delivers for industry and workers.

We are inviting participants from across the financial sector, trade unions, academia and civil society, and hope that you will be willing to attend and lend you expertise to this and/or the other discussions.

This roundtable will outline the strengths and weaknesses of the current UK financial sector, in terms of its ability to support business growth and decent jobs across the UK. Speakers will be Mick McAteer of the financial inclusion centre, who has recently completed an ‘economic and social audit of the city’, Ged Nicholls, General Secretary of the Accord Union, which represents workers in the financial sector, and Rick Watson, Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets from the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME).
