Event description

Description

Slavoj Zizek, following Lacan, insists that the most authentic form that our guilt should take is in the eventuality that we fail to sustain a fidelity to our desire. If we accept this view how might this inform the complexities of the psychoanalytic tie with particular reference to the issue of lust in the consulting room.

Chris Oakley is a member of the Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis. He has written extensively about psychoanalysis and his book "Football Delirium" (a psychoanalytic account of the global fascination with the game) was shortlisted for the Football Book of the Year. A more recent contribution was to "R.D.Laing 50 years since the Divided Self".
