About this event

Science & Tech • Science

Three leading designers share their thoughts on the psychology of pattern. Vanessa Barneby and Alice Gates of Barneby Gates, Cath Kidston and interior designer Sean Symington will discuss why choosing and using pattern is such a wildly subjective area and what draws us to particular motifs, colours and scale. How are new patterns boughts to life, and why do some work and others fail? Is it the patterns themselves - or just the way they are used?

Join us at the Barneby Gates showroom for coffee at 11am, talk at 11.30am, followed by a buffet lunch and a chance to meet the designers in person. All proceeds of ticket sales will go towards our chosen charity - Furnishing Futures - who create healing homes for survivors of domestic abuse.
