About this Event
The tour covers two apsects; firstly, we physically visit important, but now demolished, sites from her early life such as the site of her birthplace and her childhood home as well as the more well-known landmarks like Clarence House (her first marital home), Westminsiter Abbey (where she married) and of course Buckingham Palace.
Secondly, we unpack the psychology of this unique woman through discussing the small group of people who influenced her unbringing; from her beloved grandparents George V and Queen Mary, her wayward sister, doting father, perfect mother, petulent uncle, ambitious cousin, detached governess and of course her beautiful war-hero husband Prince Philip. The tour looks at how such an unusual childhood in such a rare position created the girl, the woman, the wife and the mother, who for every day, for almost 70 years, has been Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Whisper boxes are provided and social distancing observed.
