About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Our next Faith Seeking Understanding event is on Saturday 7 June 2025: The Quiet Revival:Implications and Actions. The event will now be entirely online and is free.

Since its publication in April, the Quiet Revival survey has attracted phenomenal attention, not only in church circles but across mainstream, digital and social media—both in the UK and worldwide. Jointly undertaken by the Bible Society and YouGov, the survey shows that since 2018, the number of 18-24-year-olds attending church regularly has risen four-fold, from 4% to 16%, with young men’s attendance in that age bracket rising from 4% to 21%. In the population as a whole, regular church attendees have risen from 8% seven years ago to 12% now.

So, what’s going on, and why does it appear that decades of apparently inexorable decline are being reversed? Having jointly written the report on the survey, Rhiannon McAleer is excellently placed to unpack the data and suggest practical outcomes arising from it for local church and mission.

We at LST are delighted to welcome her as a guest to this latest session in our termly webinar series ‘Faith Seeking Understanding’, which seeks to apply the best research and writing in theology to grass roots congregations and the communities they serve.

What is Faith Seeking Understanding for?

For all those in your church who seek to understand their faith more deeply: those hungry to get to know God more, to go deeper into his Word and to put this understanding into practise in serving his church.
