The Racial Justice Movement Combatting Racism in the VAWG Sector
Event Information
About this event
What are the intersecting oppressions experienced by Black and minoritized survivors within a VAWG (violence against women and girls) context? How is institutional racism and wider bias perpetrated and upheld by the services supposed to offer support and justice? In what ways can Black Feminist frameworks curate a landscape for intersectionality, abolition and decolonisation? Why is the activism of By and For grassroots movements integral to creating transformative change? Join Evie Muir and a panel of experts advocating for Anti-Racism within the VAWG sector in an uncomfortable but necessary conversation, to inspire revolutionary change.
