Join us on the 29th of June for a training ride in preparation for this summer’s Women’s 100, the challenge to all women around the world to cycle 100 km on the 20th of July. Starting and finishing at Nonna’s Italian Restaurant at the edge of the Peaks National Park in Chesterfield, there will be two groups of different speeds. An intense, faster group will be going out at 11am and a more moderately-paced group will be leaving shortly aftward. The route is approximately 60 km in length through spectacular but testing scenery, and promises to be an excellent opportunity to test yourself over intermediate distance and a few challenging climbs. A feed stop will be en route and post-ride feasting will commence at Nonna’s at 3pm.
The route will be signed and a downloadable GPS file will be available, but the ride will not be marshalled; therefore each rider must be responsible for knowing her own route. Nearby parking is available.
Please bring ride essentials including:
2 inner tubes, bike tool, tyre levers, pump, food (there will be a feed station but you’ll likely need to eat before that. Ride bars and bananas are excellent).
