Event description
An interesting walk around Soho with a qualified London guide. (Small group walk)

About this Event

A walk that takes you round a former hunting ground that became a magnet for immigrants to create an area rich in history, diversity and culture. We begin the walk at the epicentre of 1960s ‘Swinging London’ and end with a war heroine voted the ‘Greatest Black Briton’.

On the way we encounter the birthplaces of British rock and roll and television, coffee bar culture, a snail farm, the bishop in the heart of the gay village, ‘the world’s greatest lover’, the teetotaller who has a pub named after him and the queen who travelled the streets of Soho in a Sedan chair! All of this plus possibly the worst 2 statues in London!

Tickets are £10 and walk starts by The London Palladium at 5:30 pm. Pub visit after, if we are allowed!

Meet opposite the entrance to The London Palladium, Argyll Street (Oxford Circus is the nearest tube station).
