Event description

Description

UK policy on immigration and asylum is increasingly hostile and entrenched. Looking at a wider European context, what can we learn to help us promote a positive response to refugees? Molly Scott Cato will share her experience of European thinking on migration issues from her work as MEP for the South West. Imogen McIntosh has spent many months at Calais and is developing the Aid Box Community Hub to provide practical and emotional support to sanctuary seekers after long and traumatic journeys. Information will be available at the meeting about local action in solidarity with refugees travelling through Europe, including those who have made the journey to Bristol.

This event is part of Bristol's Refugee Festival.
