Event description
Join storyteller Alice Courvoisier for a family friendly hour of tales from the North with reindeer in a lead role.

About this Event

Reindeer have become iconic Christmas companions, but they can feel displaced in our concrete cities. Alice will invite you to imagine a frozen landscape, high snowy plateaux, higher peaks perhaps in the distance, deep conifer forests, trees laden with snow, and a wide river, opening onto a frozen lake. On the river is a caravan, a caravan of reindeer and people traveling the white, unforgiving arctic landscape. For an hour, this Christmas Eve, we will follow the reindeer on their northern home ground, sharing myths and tales from the people who share their lives with them, remembering that in the past, the ice covered much of the northern European landscape.
