Event description
The Sampled Series is a workshop which will look at how DIY, bedroom artists can cover, remix, sample and release music in the digital age.

About this Event

The next SEM Future Producers Hangout is here!

On Thursday 5th September 2019 we're pleased to invite Digital Rights and Royalties expert Lucilla Green (Do The Rights Thing) and DJ, Remixer and producer Johnny Jay (Mixrupt) will present 'The Sampled Series', a workshop which will look at how DIY, bedroom artists can cover, remix, sample and release music in the digital age. Lucilla will, with the help of Johnny Jay (who will talk from his own experiences of sampling and being sampled), give self-releasing artists tips and best practices on how to use sampled content and build sustainable careers.

The workshop will be followed by a performance event where Johnny Jay will showcase some of the biggest sampled tracks in the history of electronic music, and a networking event where artists will be encouraged to meet, share ideas, and collaborate. Don't miss out - this event is going to be awesome!
