Consultant Nephrologist, Professor Colin Geddes, will be discussing the important role of biopsies in kidney transplantation.

The session will cover:

• When a kidney biopsy is helpful in a transplant recipient

• The criteria for carrying out a biopsy

• A commentated video of a kidney biopsy

• How a transplant biopsy differs from a regular biopsy

• Potential complications of a kidney biopsy and how these are managed
