About this event
An online workshop delivered via four 90 minute, remote, weekly sessions. You will learn self-hypnosis techniques that will work to regulate your stress-hormone levels and enable you to control your anxiety in moments of escalation or overwhelm. This will help free you from the effects of anxiety and panic attacks. You will be added to a private Facebook group for mutual support and where I will upload supporting documents and other resources. All sessions are recorded and will be available to you for up to a week after the each session. Supporting notes and audio recordings will be provided that you can keep for ever.
Hormone regulation comes with practice. Practice in between sessions is essential for the successful deployment of this protocol in your everyday life. If you cannot commit to at least 30 minutes per day to practice the techniques I show you then this is not for you. But what is there not to like about relaxing for 30 minutes a day? :)
Week 1: I discuss Anxiety, what it is and how it affects our day to day lives. Guided relaxation forms the foundation of the processand you will be guided through a relaxation hypnosis session to help you to truly relax, boost your self-esteem and self-compassion and leave you feeling energised, calm and refreshed. This is the first building block of the programme and a recording will be provided to help you to practice before the next session.
Week 2:Let's talk conditioning, Pavlovian response and the importance of repetition in practice. I guide you through another hypnosis session to find your inner sanctuary; The place where "all things are possible" - a magical place that's inside all of us if we only know the secret to finding it. This builds on Week 1, and will again leave you feeling rested, calm and ready for the coming weeks. A recording will be provided to help you to practice before the next session.
Week 3: Stress coping and thought-stopping strategies, mindfulness and acceptance. How do we cope with waves of anxiety as they crash over us and overwhelm other thoughts? Using skills you that have developed over the last two weeks, we explore a tried and tested coping strategy, which along with specific breathing techniques will allow you to instil a sense of calm into you during moments of panic. We finish with another hypnosis session to reinforce all of the good work you're doing.
Week 4: Putting it all together. In week 4 we put the previous three weeks together into a powerful tool you can use in everyday situations.
