The Retirement Cafe - All you need to know about Powers of Attorney
Fri 16 June 2017, 10:00 – 12:00 BST
The Retirement Café gives you an opportunity to learn more about issues and challenges that may affect your retirement, over coffee and cake.
Once a month, come along to hear experts talk about a range of topics such as coping with dementia, paying for care, Inheritance Tax or how to protect your wealth after you’re gone.
June's Retirement Cafe event is about Powers of Attorney.
Paul Solomons, highly experienced estate planning solicitor and partner of Solomons Solicitors, joins Chartered Financial Planner Justin King to discuss Lasting Powers of Attorney. Paul is a member of both the Law Society and the specialist Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners (STEP). He has extensive knowledge and experience of all matters relating to Wills, Probate and Trusts, Inheritance Tax, Lasting Powers of Attorney and all relevant elder client law.
Justin is both a Chartered Financial Planner and Chartered Wealth Manager. He specialises in helping people retire with complete confidence, by providing individual pensions, investment and on-going wealth management advice in retirement.
Justin and Paul will discuss what are Lasting Powers of Attorney, why you should put one in place and how to go about doing so.
At the Retirement Café you can ask questions so you feel better informed and more confident in your retirement.
Information shared is for guidance only. You will definitely not be sold to at the Retirement Café. In fact, you cannot buy anything - not even the coffee! The coffee is on us and so is the chat.
Pop in from 10am on Friday 16th June for a free hot drink and slice of homemade cake, and take home information about Lasting Powers of Attorney.
This is a FREE event. Please register your interest to be sure we can accomodate everyone.
