The Retirement Cafe - Funding Care in Later Life
Fri 12 May 2017, 10:00 – 12:00 BST
The Retirement Café gives you an opportunity to learn more about issues and challenges that may affect your retirement, over coffee and cake.
Once a month, come along to hear experts talk about a range of topics such as coping with dementia, paying for care, Inheritance Tax or how to protect your wealth after you’re gone.
Our first Retirement Cafe event is about Funding Care in Later Life.
Justin King, Chartered Financial Planner specialising in pension and retirement planning, will be joined by two specialists in care.
Kerry Mason is Christchurch Business Manager of MyLife Living Assistance. Kerry has been involved in the care sector within Bournemouth and Poole for over 14 years and is also a Dementia Friends Champion. MyLife Living Assistance offers professional and compassionate support in the home, designed to help individuals stay comfortable and independent in their own homes.
Graham Duffy is Long Term Care Manager at Just, one of the UK’s leading providers of retirement financial solutions. He is also on the advisory board of the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA) – an independent organisation that helps people and their families in finding trusted accredited financial advisers who understand financial needs in later life.
Justin, Kerry and Graham will discuss how to go about finding the care you or your loved one needs and the different options available for funding care.
At the Retirement Café you can ask questions so you feel better informed and more confident in your retirement.
Information shared is for guidance only. You will definitely not be sold to at the Retirement Café. In fact, you cannot buy anything - not even the coffee! The coffee is on us and so is the chat.
Pop in from 10am on Friday 12th May for a free hot drink and slice of homemade cake, and take home some tips on funding care.
This is a FREE event. Please register your interest to be sure we can accomodate everyone.
