The Riff Raff March Meet-up
Event Information
Description
The Riff Raff is an event for aspiring authors and lovers of new writing. Each month we hear from five debut authors with a recently published book.
This is your chance to:
* Hear new work from exciting debut authors first...
* Ask questions of authors who only recently made the leap onto Step One of that daunting publishing ladder…
* Snap up signed copies of books...
* Seek inspiration for your own masterpiece…
* Discover how each of these authors got published...
* And, most importantly, to make friends with people who understand that trying to write a book is HARD.

On the night we will be joined by the following five debut authors....
Stacey Halls, author of The Familiars - A page-turning historical novel based on the notorious Pendle witch trials.
Bev Thomas, author of A Good Enough Mother - a dark and gripping exploration of the complex dynamic between a patient and a therapist, and a look at the responsibility and limitations of motherhood
Yara Rodrigues Fowler, author of Stubborn Archivist - a bold debut novel exploring growing up between cultures, of finding your space within them and of learning to live in a traumatized body.
Victoria Selman, author of Blood for Blood - a suspense-filled, visceral and twisty thriller inspired by the real-life cryptic messages in America’s oldest cold case, and the gruesome murders committed by Australia’s first known serial killer William MacDonald.
Claire Adam, author of Golden Child - a hugely atmospheric and skillfully realised depiction of life in rural Trinidad in the '80s - literary fiction with an element of thriller.
