Two-Day Training Course - The Right Prescription
9th and 24th October
(Attendance on Day 2 is optional but dependent on having attended on Day 1)
The Secrets of Successfully working with CCGs and the new NHS
The Health and Social Care Act has changed how the NHS is structured, how services will be commissioned, which organisations can deliver services, how Public Health will be managed and how services will be monitored and inspected. There are opportunities for third sector organisations but they need to move quickly to position themselves in the new marketplace.
This training session will give your organisation:
- A thorough understanding of the Health and Social Care Act, how it is being implemented in different areas and the current policy framework within which Haringey Commissioners are making decisions
- Information about what health professionals expect of voluntary sector partners
- Advice about competitors and development of strategic partnerships.
- Up to date examples of successful services around the country.
- Practical advice about how to market your service to Haringey Commissioners, the importance of having a strategic approach and a detailed business plan about how you are going to grow.
The course is held over 2 days; the first day looks at the policy framework, NHS expectations of the third sector, strategic partnerships, competitors and examples of service models from around the country. The second day is a practical workshop where participants will work on one of their own services that they would like to pitch to the Haringey Clinical commissioning Group, including a mock presentation.
