Event Details

Intellectual Property is the life-blood of creative & digital businesses, yet all too often, business-owners operating in the sector don’t fully understand the principles of IP – leaving them vulnerable to having their work copied and exploited without their consent.

This training event, part of the IP support programme ‘The Rights Stuff’, will provide creative, digital and media businesses with a guide to intellectual property rights – including an explanation of copyright, patents, trade marks and design rights. It will cover the essentials of how to protect IP, and how to turn dormant creative properties into new revenue streams. The event will include real-life case studies from creatives that have either successfully exploited their own IP, or built businesses with IP at the core of their operation. You’ll also hear from specialist IP lawyers, too.

Confirmed Guest Speakers

  • Stella Briley - Head of Acquisitions, Electric Sky
  • Sion Hughes - Senior Business Affairs Manager, Rights TV
  • Plus others TBC
