Why is there a backlash against trans equality? Attacks on LGBT rights are a feature of the governments of Hungary, Italy and the USA. Since April's Supreme Court decision, trans people in the UK have faced increased attacks, and the government has placed itself firmly in the camp of the "gender-critical" movement.

Socialists need to understand what motivates and drives the far-right resurgence so that we can fight it.
