The eSports world is becoming increasingly popular within the mainstream market. Money keeps flooding in, teams continue to attract high-profile sponsors and fans keep tuning in, but how long will it last? To ignore the unregulated, sometimes illegally stimulated nature of eSports would be to turn a blind eye. If eSports wants to prove worthy of the broader sporting world then the teams, the fans, the sponsors and the organising body are all responsible for what happens next.
Western Digital will be hosting an evening with a panel of experts throughout the industry to discuss some of the biggest challenges facing eSports, with Lucy Hedges, technology editor at the Metro, mediating the discussion.
Michael O'Dell, Founder and Manager of Team Dignitas
Hugo Bryon, Professional eSports commentator
Chester King, CEO of the British eSports Association
The event is taking place at the iconic BAFTA's, home to the British Academy Games Awards, with drinks and Christmas nibbles available from 5:30pm. There will also be opportunities available to view WD's latest storage solutions, including the recently launched SSD line.
Please ensure that you RSVP as we only have a limited number of spaces available.
