About this event

CONTENT

Through this training you will:

  • Gain practical tools for implementing caring work cultures - including a policy toolkit
  • Learn about methods for inclusive recruitment - and how to retain good employees
  • Get a shared workbook with resources, further reading and recaps of all the sessions
  • Become a better employer, manager and collegue
  • Meet other businesses looking to implement change

Over 4 weeks together we'll explore how to embed care in every phase of the employee journey - from access and recruitment to generative conflict and policies made for humans.

We'll share the successes (and failures) Rising have had implementing these practical tools, the positive impact it's had on our business and how we've supported companies of all different sizes to embed care.

WHY RISING?

  1. We are a regional leader in good employment practices as evidenced by being one of the first members of WECA's Good Employment Charter.
  2. 54% of our leadership and team have been with the agency for most of our existence - and 75% of our leavers remain actively part of Rising's community.
  3. We are a not-for-profit CIC which means every penny you spend on training with us goes directly to the young people we work with.

Here's what previous participants have said about our training:

" gave me the space to have that reflection and game plan and stop thinking about all the barriers and do something to see what happens"

"the biggest benefit has been exposure to different points of view, and you were great at creating the intimacy between the group to talk about difficult things"

Frequently asked questions

What is movement building work?

We use this to mean an organisation which is mobilising people and groups to work collectively to create social change that directly benefits oppressed people.

How do I measure if my organisation is led by POC, working class or disabled people?

This means that a majority of the leadership of the organisation hold these identities.

I still can't decide what rate I should pay

We know these markers cannot encompass all the complexities of every organisation but we encourage you to pay at the highest tier that feels both generous and affordable. If you're still not sure what you should pay please contact euella@rising.org.uk

Do you offer discounts for multiple attendees from one organisation?

In some cases yes, we can also deliver training bespoke for your organisation, please get in touch with jess@rising.org.uk for more information
