Event description
An opportunity to hear more about how rising costs are forcing more people into problem debt and the vital support you can provide.

About this event

We are all feeling the impact of the current climate as energy prices soar and the cost of living is increasing sharply. For many people across Scotland, this is pushing them into problem debt or tipping the balance to crisis point as they are forced to borrow just to survive.

Yet, too many people remain trapped in problem debt as they simply don’t know where to turn and the stigma surrounding it prevents them from asking.

Promotion and Engagement Manager, Charis Scott, from Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Scotland will be speaking about the impact of problem debt on mental health, the stigma surrounding it and the support that is available.

You’ll get to hear more about the work of CAP across Scotland providing essential community based, person-centred debt help and emergency aid.

There'll be opportunities for you to network with other participants and put questions to the presenter.

The event will use Microsoft Teams and if you've not used it before you may want to look at these guides. For help making Microsoft Teams more accessible and easier to use, go to the page on Accessibility support for Microsoft Teams.
