The Road Goes On: an Easter Sunday tea concert for Charlbury Refugee Action Group performed by singer/songwriter Jenny Mahler and Joe Smith
About this event
As a wonderful gift to CRAG, our very talented Charlbury-born singer/songwriter Jenny Mahler (aka Jenny Larsen) has created a delightful concert for us. Elegantly accompanied on the guitar by her fiancé, Joe Smith, she performs an exciting and inspired selection of new compositions, old favourites and a lovely Danish hymn.
This original and uplifting concert, recorded by Jenny and Joe during this recent lockdown, will be a special opportunity for us all to gather together to celebrate Easter and the coming of Spring, and to whet our appetites for the return of our popular Sunday afternoon concerts as soon as we can.
We will be streaming the event at 3pm on Sunday April 4th via Zoom. The Zoom room will be open from 2.30, to give you time to settle down, chat with your friends, brew your tea, and toast your hot cross buns!
A recording of the concert will also be available to purchase after the event.
All proceeds from the concert will be sent by CRAG to The Hope Project, a charity working directly to support refugees on the island of Lesvos in Greece.
