sounddelivery and The Garden Court Chambers are delighted to be hosting another fascinating documentary screening and Q&A on Wednesday 22nd May.
'The Road: A Story of Life and Death' by award-winning filmmaker Marc Isaacs is about people who've come to live in the UK - the road in the title is the A5 which runs from the port of Holyhead in North Wales to London.
The people featured include an Irish girl on her way to London to follow her dream of being a professional singer, an elderly Jewish lady who left Vienna as a young girl, and Iqbal, an Indian hotel concierge who's waiting for his wife to join him. As he says 'you lose both the place you are leaving and the place you are coming to, you lose both of them.'
The event starts at 6pm and the film will begin promptly at 6.30 pm. After the screening there'll be a special Q&A session with Marc Isaacs.
The ticket price includes light bites + drinks before and after the film.
There is limited capacity at this venue so please book early to avoid disappointment.
