Event description
Juliet Davenport will explore what we need to do to reach zero emissions within a generation.

About this Event

The UK has a legally binding target to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions to net-zero by 2050. Achieving this bold aim will transform the UK economy and society as a whole. In this talk, Juliet Davenport will explore what we need to do to reach zero emissions within a generation. She will draw on two decades of experience in the energy industry, from founding one of the UK’s first renewable power companies to her roles on some of the country’s leading research institutes.

Speaker: Juliet Davenport is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Good Energy – a renewable energy company with a mission to power a greener, cleaner future together with its customers. Juliet has been an innovator for over 20 years, working on ideas to fight climate change and transform the energy sector for the better. In 2013, she was awarded an OBE for services to renewables. She currently sits on the board of the Renewable Energy Association, Innovate UK and is Vice President of the Energy Institute. In addition, she sits on the advisory boards of leading UK think tanks, including Energy Systems Catapult, Aurora, Oxford Energy, and LSE’s Grantham Institute.
