Frequently asked questions

Is the colour safe?

Yes! It is made of nothing more than corn starch and natural food dyes and hold EN71 certification. It will simply wash out of hair and from skin. We advise wearing sunglasses or eye protection to help prevent the powder from getting into your eyes. Rinse well with water if this does happen.

Will the colour stain my clothing?

Wear something bright and white (T-Shirt and running gear) that you don't mind getting messy - as it’s white so you can see the colours! Well-fitting footwear is highly recommended!

Will the colour stain my hair?

In some cases, it might take a few showers to clear it from your hair. If your hair is very light, or colour treated, you may wish to wear a hat or headscarf to minimise the paint contact.

How do we clean up afterwards?

At the finish, we will have a cleaning station with brushes so that you can brush off the majority of excess powder. We recommend that you leave a blanket in your car to cover your seat and a spare set of clothing.

Do I have to raise sponsorship?

It is not a requirement however, if you wish to do so, every pound raised will be a huge help to The Veterans Charity and assist us with continuing to delivery urgent support to Veterans facing hardship. Fundraising pages can be set up at www.justgiving.com/theveteranscharity

Is there kit storage at the venue?

We will be providing an area for kit to be left whilst you are on the course. Please ensure it is clearly labelled. We are unable to accept any liability for kit that is left in the storage area.

Can I bring my dog with me?

Unfortunately, for safety reasons, we cannot allow dogs on the course.

What do I need to bring on the day?

We recommend a change of clothes, sunglasses, blanket for your car and a water bottle to refill on the day. Please free to bring your own snacks, but there will be food vendors in the event village. Don't forget to bring cash to be able to play games in the Entertainment Zone afterwards!

Is there an age limit?

The Rock Hard Colour Run is open to everyone aged 5 years and upwards. Under 16's must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
