Afternoon workshop: Sharing best practice from public health, local authority and NHS work

Speakers: Dr Amanda Bunten, PHE Behavioural Insights Team; Dr Katherine Brown, Coventry University

Please note that talks, interactive sessions, and questions will be filmed on the day so please let us know if you any problem with this.

We will also be going for drinks and dinner following the event and you are all welcome. Please indicate your interest during the ticket purchasing process.


*Poster Competition

Abstract submission is now open for posters to be presented at an extended networking lunch session at our conference on the role of behavioural science in public health. Prizes will be provided for the top three posters. Help us build the conference by submitting a poster summarising ongoing or completed work relevant to the role of behavioural science in Public Health. This could include research, policy, or practice, but must include evaluation of outcome data. The deadline for poster submission is 17th January 2018. All presenters are required to register as a delegate by 31st January.

Your abstract submission should contain a title, all author names and affiliations, and a structured abstract of no more than 250 words. For completed work the structure should be – Background, Method, Results, Discussion. For ongoing work it should be – Purpose, Background, Method, Discussion. Posters on the day should be size A1 or A0. Please email queries and abstract submissions to events@hpphn.org.uk. Accepted posters will be displayed as PDFs on the member’s area of the HPPHN website following the event.

Health Psychology in Public Health Network

Health Psychology in Public Health is a national network that brings together professionals with an interest in behavioural science and public health.

The network is for professionals interested in all domains of public health wishing to develop an understanding of health behaviours from a psychological perspective. We aim to share best practice and maximise the opportunity and insights that both fields have to offer by embedding behavioural science into public health practice.

Our members are nationwide with a variety of backgrounds and specialist areas, and include Health Psychologists, Public Health Consultants and Practitioners, eminent Academics, PhD/MSc students and Health Psychology Trainees
