Event description

Description

Physio.co.uk are offering an evening lecture exploring the role of exercise in patients with Parkinson’s disease. There is now a large body of research to support the use of exercise and evidence which shows that exercise may offer a neuroprotective effect by slowing the development of symptoms. This lecture will discuss the evidence, explore how exercise induces neuroplasticity, the types of exercise which may be beneficial and how we may adapt clinical practice to reflect the current evidence base. We will also review relevant outcome measures for measuring intervention. Tea/biscuits will be provided. Book your place now through Eventbrite.

This lecture is aimed at therapists working in or with an interest in neurological rehabilitation. We also welcome students to the event.
