Join City of Trees for their annual seminar.

About this Event

Urban residents are becoming increasingly vulnerable to the effects of climate change, poor air quality and a lack of green spaces to exercise in and enjoy.

Green Infrastructure (GI) can help to create healthier, happier environments and make our cities and towns more economically, socially and environmentally sustainable and resilient.

This free seminar will bring together a range of speakers who will explore this very issue and how trees, woods and other GI can positively impact on both people’s physical health and mental wellbeing.

The event will look at the crucial role GI can play in transforming our urban centres, and creating places people want to live, work and play in – as well as a home for wildlife.

Topics explored include: the importance of GI in combatting poor air quality, creating routes to encourage active, sustainable travel and improving our physical and mental wellbeing.

This event is aimed at health professionals, public health, the environment sector, planners, the housing sector, developers, highways officers and transport planners as well as those looking at the active travel and sustainable journeys agenda

Thank you to headline sponsors Greengage and ACS Consulting.

Confirmed exhibitors: Hilliers and GreenBlue Urban.

This event is part of the Urban Innovation Action funded IGNITION Project.
