Event description

Description

We would like to invite you to a one-day event exploring the future role of energy storage in the UK energy system. It will take place on Tuesday 13 November 2018 at Church House, Westminster, London and is being jointly organised by three major EPSRC research projects (C-MADEnS, MY-STORE and RESTLESS).

We will be discussing various aspects of energy storage in the UK, building on insights from our research and identifying future challenges. The day will start with an address by Prof. John Loughhead, Chief Scientific Advisor to the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Following a brief overview of the key findings of the three projects, a series of sessions will take the form of directed discussions, as we are keen to encourage a good debate across the key issues. Topics will include public attitudes, systems engineering integration and challenges, and economics and business models. We will then wrap up the day with a discussion of policy and future challenges.

The event is free of charge to attend. Places are limited so please sign up straight away if you can attend. We hope you are able to make what should be a really insightful day.
