The Role of the Key Person in Early Years Setting

This live 60-minute session is all about the role and the importance of a key person in early years settings.

We will be looking at:

• The role of the key person and the importance of that role in making children feel safe and secure
• The importance of responding sensitively to children’s feelings and behaviours and meeting their emotional needs
• What attributes make a good key person
• EYFS 2021role requirements
• Attachment theory and theorist Bowlby plus Birth to 5 matters 2021
• Key person role in working with and supporting parents

We will also be providing ideas on how to share information about the key person role and how to effectively engage with the parents of your key children.
