The Royal Collection in Three Dimensions

To mark the publication of a new and comprehensive catalogue of European Sculpture in the Royal Collection this autumn, Sir Jonathan Marsden, former Director of the Royal Collection, introduces some of the discoveries and surprises encountered in the course of preparing this four-volume work, which includes 1,800 works of art ranging in date across five centuries, and some of the practical challenges encountered during 27 years spent preparing the catalogue.
