Explore the timeless elegance and romance of The Royal Observatory Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet some of our suppliers and marvel at the beauty this famous World Heritage Site has to offer to couples.

The historic Flamsteed house, where ceremonies can take place, was designed by Christopher Wren and it's famous Octagon room has a 360 degree view of Greenwich park. Home of the Prime Meridian, The Royal Observatory courtyard can be used for drinks receptions whilst guests marvel at the awesome views of London. The Peter Harrison Planetarium is perfect for your after party boasting an inspired fusion of Victorian and contemporary architecture it takes your guests on a journey through the stars and beyond at London’s only Planetarium.

The team will be on hand to show you how to build your special day at the home of time or alternatively if you would like to view either of our 2 other licensed venues Cutty Sark and Queen’s House we can arrange for show rounds earlier in the afternoon and you can finish your day meeting expert suppliers at the Royal Observatory and enjoying the best view in London. FAQs

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Enjoy your trip to Greenwich by rail or river, it takes no time at all. We're just 10 minutes from central London by rail, or make the journey part of the fun and arrive by boat.

For Greenwich town centre, the nearest stations are:

  • Cutty Sark DLR
  • Greenwich rail station and Maze Hill rail station
  • Greenwich Pier

Oyster cards can be used at all local stations and on buses. All our museums are within easy walking distance of each other, and only a short walk from the stations, within historic Greenwich and Royal Greenwich Park.

There is car parking some parking available in Greenwich Park run by The Royal Parks Constabulary.

Please note that Greenwich Park will close to the public at 20.00 and so guests will need to enter and exit the park by vehicle using St. Mary's Gate.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No. Tickets are not required for this event, please ensure that you fill out your name in full when reserving a space as we will be running a registration desk on the evening.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Please do let us know if one of your guest names changes so we can amend our records accordingly. If you no longer wish to attend, do let us know so we can offer the space to others to attend.
