Don't miss this unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into this pivotal moment in history from speakers such as well-known historian, author and podcaster, Peter Hart. Peter will be exploring the long gestation that created D-Day: the lessons learnt from previous experiences, 'the primary importance of logistics, the importance of securing early on a large and deep beachhead, the importance of deception, the use of special forces, the armoured 'funnies' that helped carve a way off the beaches, the devastating naval bombardments, the importance of high-angle fire, and the use of air power. The result was a success that launched the invasion of Europe.'
