The Rugby Business Network Partners with IRB World Rugby Conference
We are delighted, along with our sponsor HSBC, to partner with the IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition to host a business networking evening in Dublin on November 17th.
Our guest speakers for the event will be Ireland International, victorious Lion and newly appointed Chairman of IRUPA, Rob Kearney and Omar Hassanein IRUPA's CEO.
Rob will be sharing stories of his playing career with us as well as discussing his new and very important role. Omar will be giving insights into the work of the Irish Rugby Union Players' Association and its future plans.
The event will bring together delegates, special guests and leading European businesses for a night of discussion, business interaction and some inevitable good banter.
The first 50 members of The Rugby Business Network to register for the event will receive a 15% discount on the conference registration fee, using the discount code RBN2013. To register please visit www.irbwrce.com.
Founder, Colm Hannon commented: “The Rugby Business Network was set up as a not for profit organisation to add value to business people with a passion for rugby so that they are more likely to invest back into the game in the future when given an opportunity to do so.
“Through goodwill and volunteer committees around the world, and our sponsors HSBC and Marriott, it has become the biggest business network for people with a passion for rugby.”
“This is a great opportunity for senior executives from rugby organisations attending the IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition to experience an event, and meet senior business executives from some of the biggest companies in Europe.”
IRB CEO Brett Gosper said: “We are delighted to be welcoming The Rugby Business Network as an official partner of the IRB World Rugby Conference 2013.”
“We are also aware of the programme The Rugby Business Network has to assist rugby players making in the transition from performing on the pitch to performing in business, by connecting with businesses in its network.
“This partnership works beyond the networking function, by bringing in to focus a subject close to the IRB, which is player welfare on and off the pitch, during and after their playing career.”
With both the IRB World Conference and Exhibition sharing not only values, but a key supporter in HSBC, the partnership is a fantastic opportunity for all involved.
