Will all money raised go to charity?

Accepted Answer

Yes - everything raised by ticket sales, on the evening donations and with the raffle tickets will all go to Make-A-Wish UK. Everything your local Running Stormtrooper has done has been for UK Children's Charities. All money raised goes to Make-A-Wish who will be in attendance on the evening.

The Sir John Hedges function room. The George Hotel, High Street, WALLINGFORD, Oxford, OX10 0BS

Question 3

Is the venue accessible to wheel chair users?

Accepted Answer

Yes - The venue is fully accessible and on the ground floor.

Question 4

Is there car parking?

Accepted Answer

Yes - The hotel has a small car park but there are plenty of other car parks in the town of Wallingford, this includes car parks with electric charging points. If you manage to get a space in the small hotel car park you must register your car on arrival.

Question 5

What time does it start?

Accepted Answer

The bar by the Sir John Hedges function room will be open from 7pm. The presentation will start at 7.30pm.

Question 6

How is the Running Stormtrooper Story being delivered?

Accepted Answer

Jez Allinson (the Running Stormtrooper) has amassed loads of photos & videos of his running adventures and has produced a truly wonderful chronological journey of the Running Stormtrooper Story on Keynote. This is a special tailored event which has added local area content. It's a visual treat!!

Question 7

Will there be people dressed as Star Wars characters?

Accepted Answer

Hopefully! An application has been submitted to the 501st UK Garrison. Feel free to come in costume yourself, whatever you are comfortable in. This question will be updated nearer the time.

Question 8

Will I need cash on the evening?

Accepted Answer

Don't worry. Cash or Cashless should be fine. There will be a Make-A-Wish 'Tap and Pay' machine for raffle ticket purchases (cash is also fine) and any extra donations. The bar will take cash and cashless.

Question 9

What are the raffle prizes?

Accepted Answer

We will be gathering prizes for the raffle from mid January. This question will be updated by the 1st of May 2025. If you know of any shops or businesses that would like to donate a prize please contact stormtrooperrun@gmail.com

Question 10

Will the Running Stormtrooper be there?

Accepted Answer

The Running Stormtrooper costume/armour will be on a mannequin, adorned with all of its running medals (for photo ops).
