Description

Following on from the success from last year's events, we are thrilled to announce that our first Salon Series of the year will be a panel discussion focused on plastic waste in our planet's oceans, co-hosted with The Klosters Forum.

Being held on Wednesday 2nd May in our foliage filled Salon, the breakfast event will feature speakers including, our founder Skye Gyngell, CEO of Blue Marine Foundation, Clare Brook, founder of Common Seas, Jo Royle and Celia Pool, co-founder of DAME, the reusable tampon applicator company. These varied range of creatives, philanthropists and conservationists will all be curated by A Plastic Planet co-founder Sian Sutherland.

Alongside the talk, guests will enjoy a Scratch Breakfast, an adaption of the restaurant's Scratch Menu specially designed by Skye and featuring a range of breakfast options made up of produce that would normally go to waste.

Focusing on topics such as the enormity of the world's plastic pollution problem, how leading companies are tackling the issues, and what individuals at home can do to reduce their own consumption of plastic. This will be an inspiring and insightful event to bring together like-minded individuals in the hope to make a change and protect our planet's oceans.

The Salon Series: Ocean SOS Plastic Pollution (in collaboration with The Klosters Forum) will be held in The Salon on 2nd May at 9:30am. Tickets to the panel discussion will be priced at £28 and will include tea, coffee, juice and breakfast.

About Salon Series: Salon Series is a programme of speakers and events which is held in our plant filled conservatory, The Salon.
