SEA aims to provide personal development and career opportunities to disadvantaged young people and their families, particularly those who are NEET or who have been stigmatised by negative experiences. The programme also aims to support young people from similar backgrounds who already have a passion for a particular cause and who need additional support to turn their personal passions into building their own business. Moreover we are supporting young people who struggle with mental health issues to gain work and to build their confidence. Anxiety and many other disorders can sometimes be a limitation but at Sapphire, we show these young people how to many of their fears and how to use it as a fuel for strength and power.

Through SEA, young people have access to adult mentoring, peer mentoring, volunteering opportunities, access to work, training and development workshops, field trips and inspirational speakers.

Currently Sapphire is working with over 20 organisations such as Unilever, Peabody, Jobcentres, SIH, Tasty Restaurants and Pareto Law offering young people access to work and career development. We are currently placing young people into roles such as sales, hospitability, admin, charity work, business admin and many more. We have successfully placed over 100 young people in less than 9 months into work. Sapphire is now the voice for those young people who are struggling to attain work.

Additionally, we offer a mentoring and counselling programmes for young people every week. This programme involves being assigned a 1 hour weekly session to work on a tailored career pathway for a young person. Growing up and figuring out what you want to do in life can be challenging for a young person; however at Sapphire we are tearing down those barriers and helping them to create a roadmap to destiny. We have created a Sapphire 12 week programme that helps give young people the skills to apply for a new job or apply for a university course or to create finance plan or to start up a business. Sapphire is now giving young people a tool to taking control of their lives. We are working with over 10 schools such as Westminster Kingsway, City islington and London Met, as we help the next generation of young people become leaders and tear down the glass ceiling barriers. Our Sapphire Employability programme continues to impact those aged 15 to 30 years and help gain them access to direct work and confidence building.
