We have over 50 dedicated staff members including fully qualified doctors, nurses, accountants, laboratory technicians, nutritional therapists and administrative staff.

Dr Jean Monro

Dr Jean Monro is the Medical Director, RO and founder of privately-owned Breakspear Medical and is internationally recognised in the field of allergy and environmental medicine. She successfully treats a wide variety of conditions such as ME/CFS, Lyme disease and multiple chemical sensitivity, using acredited laboratory tests to investigate and diagnose underlying illnesses, infections, functional deficits.

In addition to treating patients, Dr Monro lectures regularly at conferences around the world, supervises hands-on training of university and college students specialising in nutrition. She is a member of the Royal Society of Biology, the British Society for Ecological Medicine, the European Academy for Environmental Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine.

In 2015, she was awarded the Jonathan Foreman Award by the American Academy of Environmental Medicine for having made a significant contribution to the field of environmental medicine.

Guest Speakers:

Dr Jaleel Miyan

Dr Jaleel Miyan is a senior lecturer in Neuroscience at The University of Manchester, Faculty of Biology, Medicine & Health. He has held a number of external appointments including: Editorial Board, Fluid and Barriers of the CNS - Biomed Central Journal; External Examiner: The University of Central Lancashire; Adjunct Professor of Neuroscience, University of Florida, Gainsville to mane a few.

Dr Alisdair Gaw

Currently working with Leicester University, Dr Alasdair Gaw's role is to support innovation from university research with the life sciences industry to ensure better development and implementation of healthcare in the Midlands. He is experienced in drug discovery and development, business development, alliance management, international senior management experience in pharmaceuticals (respiratory and inflammation), Industry Lead of MRC/ABPI COPD MAP consortia.

Dr Mark Robertson

Dr Mark Robertson is a PhD pharmacologist and specialises in science policy and bioethics. His current interest areas include: Responsible Business and corporate sustainability; corporate reputation, precise genome editing /gene therapy ethics; synthetic biology; chimeras; Nagoya Protocol /biodiversity /access and benefit sharing; clinical trial transparency and quality, donor and patient consent/ data privacy, transparent access to human biological samples for research use.

Mr Bob Woods

Co-founder and Senior Adviser to the Mattioli Woods Group, a highly regarded AIM listed wealth management business, Mr Bod Woods had become passionate about environmental medicine and is currently involved in sponsoring the development of a soon to be launched new approach to health, focusing on the avoidance and removal of toxic substances.

We recommend you park in the Marlowes Shopping Centre car park as no parking is available on site.

At The Marlowes parking is easy safe and secure. In the multi-storey car park there are over 1200 parking spaces.

Parking is free after 5pm on Thursdays.

The Marlowes Shopping Centre is adjacent to Hemel Hempstead town centre, an easy 5 minutes’ drive from both the M1 and M25. Access to the car park is via Wolsey Road.
