Overview

Join us to explore the power of working Somatically with the Body, Breath, and Movement in the Transformation of Trauma
"The price for ignoring or distorting the body's messages is being unable to detect what is truly dangerous or harmful for you and, just as bad, what is safe and nurturing"
Bessel Van Der Kolk - The Body Keeps The Score

Lorna Evans will illuminate the process of working Somatically with the Body, Breath and Movement in therapy. The aim of this training is to give mental health practitioners the confidence to notice moments where they can creatively integrate these somatic tools into their current clinical practice, both in-person and online.

This training will equip you with practical tools you can share with your clients to support their healing from emotional stress and trauma, and to help them begin to notice and regulate their nervous systems. This will be delivered by Lorna, through a Trauma-Informed and Neuro-Affirming lens, as this knowledge is essential when working with neurodivergent clients.

This workshop draws on research from Lorna’s new book, The Mind & Movement, published in November 2025 by Karnac Publishing.
