The Sea Slugs \\ Fri 7th Nov \\ The Art House
Event Information
Description
One month on from their exultant afrobeat night at The Cellar, The Sea Slugs once again invite you to stomp your feet, shake your hips and sing in solidarity, as we see the night through with their groove-laden politically motivated music.
Watch the Sea Slugs at New Years at The Art House:
"The Sea Slugs are the product of a wide array of political, humanitarian and musical motivations, joining together with a collective condemnation of intolerance and a strong sense of human solidarity. This is all expressed through irresistible, stomping grooves, hard hitting horn lines, and infectious call and response vocals. The result is a visceral, often turbulent sound with a subversive edge."
They'll be returning to The Art House to share with you hours of live original music (with the odd Fela Kuti classic thrown in for good measure of course!) Bring a cushion to sit in front, or your dancing shoes to prance at the back!
Last time they were here, we had the thrill of seeing in the new year with them, and we are very excited to welcome them back for the second instalment of what they hope to be a series of monthly gigs in Southampton.
Not sure how we are going to get this lot in, but it's going to be fun trying!
