The Secret Book Swap - Currie - September 2025

We don't judge a book by it's cover! We do bring a book we're ready to pass on, enjoy good book chat & pick up a new book to take home.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀

1. Choose a book you've read, enjoyed and are ready to pass on;

2. Wrap it up (keep it simple or go fancy, it's up to you) - you may want to write a note with your wrapped book that shares a few enticing tidbits about its content. Your notes could be things like "you'll enjoy this if you like xxx" or "this will make you laugh out loud".

3. On the night we'll each introduce our book to the group - Just don't share the author or title and at the end we'll get a chance to each pick a book before we all unwrap them together and discover our new book!

𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲...We'll also have a local guest join us who will share a reading with us as well as a few other book related activities that let us celebrate our love of reading. Previous guests have included authors, poets, storytellers, playwrights and illustrators, each sharing their own stories with us.
