About this event
Thursday 30th October, 10am - 1pm
Discover the hidden magic of London in this family storytelling workshop that blends folklore, creativity and imagination. We’ll begin with enchanting tales from London’s past, from talking ravens to buried dragons, and stories from around the world that reveal how cities can be shaped by myth as much as stone. Together, we’ll delve into London’s lesser-known legends and use them as inspiration to dream up an alternative, magical history of the City. What if the River Thames could speak? What secrets lie beneath the cobbled streets? Through group activities, map-making and collective storytelling, families will co-create their own secret version of London, one where folklore comes to life and the city holds endless mystery. This playful, hands-on session is perfect for curious minds of all ages and encourages everyone to listen, imagine and become a storyteller of their own. No previous experience needed, just bring your imagination!
All children need to be accompanied by an adult. One ticket = one child plus their accompanying adult.
“All sessions were brilliant, the students were able to develop their imagination, their confidence in sharing story and mind mapping the story. Everything was so amazing.” - Literacy Coordinator, Heston Community School.
"Watching previously quiet and shy children stand up and perform to their peers! And watching their faces as they listened, captivated, to Jordan's own storytelling.” - Assistant Head, Lionel Primary School.
