Description

Have you always fancied the idea of keeping bees, but aren't sure where to start? Or are you simply curious as to how this important little insect is looked after?

In preparation for Bell House's practical beekeeping sessions, Philip Nicholson, the head beekeeper, will lead you through a year as a beekeeper. You will learn what an apiary needs as the seasons change. From the challenges of freezing in the winter to the agression that the summer brings, to the sweet honey that will be produced, Philip will show you it all.

Tickets cost £20, and will include a break for tea and coffee.

As always on Bell House courses, bursary places are available. Please email bursary@bellhouse.co.uk for more information.
