Sun 30 April 2017, 14:00 – 16:30 BST
A poem walk with alternative narrative of the Olympic redevelopment and encroachment on the marshes with site specific poems by Jude Rosen from her Reclamations collection, invoking explorations, hidden histories and voices of people who have lived, worked, played and died on the marshes, accompanied by the living history of struggles over the land, homes, industries, and environment recounted by Julian Cheyne, a critical commentator of the redevelopment process.
The walk will proceed from Stratford station, through the covered street, out of the back of Westfields, Stratford International station, the International Quarter, Aquatic Centre, the Orbit, the stadium, overlooking Fish Island and Hackney Wick, the bell stopping for a tea break on the way.
