THE SEED POD: Lyrix Organix x Active Citizens 2021
THE SEED POD is a FREE five day social action learning programme taking place throughout March. Come and learn with a diverse group of people, curious about the relationship between climate activism, identity, and action.
In March 2021, Lyrix Organix opens the doors to THE SEED POD - an incubator for climate change, through the prism of global social leadership programme Active Citizens with British Council.
We invite tomorrow’s leaders - the voices who have been historically marginalised - to explore the most pressing global challenge of our time, climate change and environmental activism. Come on a journey with us and a diverse group of artists, activists and creative entrepreneurs to explore Environmental Activism and Identity for under-represented communities. Co-create social action projects to take forward in your local communities, with global network opportunities.
Why is environmental activism overwhelmingly homogenous?
What are the invisible barriers to inclusivity in this field?
What impact does this have on future generations and policy-making?
And how disproportionate is the impact of environmental issues such as pollution and climate change on marginalised communities (both in the UK and around the world)?
Most importantly, how can this programme contribute to big changes in small ways - especially in these challenging times of Coronavirus?
