Each session includes a gentle check-in, discussion of 1–2 chapters, space for reflection, and a check-out. It’s peer-led with light facilitation.
The group is intentionally limited to 8 people to ensure a safe, supportive, and connected experience.
You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels right for you. Listening is just as valuable as speaking. No pressure — always choice.
This is not group therapy, but it is a therapeutic, reflective space. It's designed to support self-awareness and connection through reading and discussion.
We understand that life happens! It would be helpful if you could catch up on reading before attending the next session to maintain the flow of the process group. Though the richest experience comes from attending them all
Absolutely. Many of our participants are new to therapeutic groups. You’ll be welcomed warmly and guided gently throughout.
A process group is a supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings as they arise — in response to the book and within the group. It’s about real, honest reflection and connection. More information can be found here: https://www.therapywithemma.co.uk/self-help-bookshelf/
Unfortunately, the venue is not wheelchair accessible due to stairs. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
