Event description


Suitable for new and aspiring SENCos, members of SLT or anyone that line manages a SENCo, this course covers the new SEND code of practice 2015 and looks at the strategic role that SENCos now play in school.

Objectives of this course

  • give delegates an overview of the strategic role of the SENCO
  • offer support and guidance on managing teaching staff to ensure that every teacher is offering high-quality teaching for all pupils including those with SEND
  • propose models for the effective deployment of support staff
  • offer strategies and tools to share with staff
  • offer opportunities to discuss their role and responsibilities with a network of other SENCOs

Bookings may only be transferred at the discretion of the Professional Development team. These will need to be made in writing to before the event. Transfers and cancellations may be subject to a charge.

Within 20 working days - 25% charge

Within 10 working days - 50% charge

Within 5 working days - 75% charge

Within 2 working days - 100% charge
