The Sewcial Club Summer Special

The sewcial club was set up by a group of locals looking for a safe space to

...finish that half-done sewing project...

...or start something new...

...or fall in love with sewing again.

Our doors are open on the third Thursday of every month, we welcome you to sew with us. We've collaborated with Times and Talents to host a series of sewing sessions at Surrey Quays Shopping Centre. You can use a sewing machine to complete a project, upcycle or get back into sewing - the choice is yours.

We have 5 sewing machines available, if you'd like to use one select the correct ticket when booking your slot. There is a reservation fee of £4 to hold a sewing machine. If you would like to come along to hand sew, mend, prepare a pattern etc, please select General Entry which is free. If there are sewing machines available on the day, you are welcome to use it with a free entry ticket.

N.B. - this is not a sewing class, more a club - whilst we welcome beginners, we do not host tutorials - however we will try our best to collectively answer questions or help if you are stuck. The Sewcial Club is perfect to get in some practice and lean on the support of our volunteers and members. There will be plenty of knowledgable people who can help, or give a second opinion and advice.

Doors open at 12.30pm.

You will have access to a sewing machine until the end of the session.

We also have a selection of fabrics donated by local designers that you are welcome to use, however you can bring your own.

Basic sewing equipment will be available including scissors, thread, seam rippers, chalk etc.

There will be a selection of patterns for small basic items that you can follow if you need a small project. We also have a selection of patterns from well known brands.
